Project feedback
As part of this project, this was a really valuable and meaningful experience for me. It enabled me to link academic knowledge with practical experiences, specifically regarding food security and sustainability. However, one of the first challenges we faced was working together entirely online. It was quite difficult to work together at first and communicate in a virtual environment. Yet this also came to be an enriching learning moment. It required me to develop new skills such as remote collaboration, adaptability and digital communication, all of which have proved critical in the working world today. The process allowed me to not only further develop my teamwork and communication skills from working with my peers, but also from interacting with the employer. It was the kind of open and supportive environment that encouraged sharing ideas, initiative and learning from one another. And, I offer a humble thank you to Jenny for allowing me and my team to be part of this project. Your guidance and encouragement created an environment where we felt inspired to contribute, where our input was valued and respected. Once again, I just want to say that I appreciate all the time we have collaborated together.

The BRIGHT LIGHTS FOR AFRICA FOUNDATION is committed to bridging the digital divide in Musenge village, Democratic Republic of the Congo, by equipping youth with essential digital skills. The goal of this project is to develop AI-powered online courses focused on computer literacy. These courses should be engaging, relevant, and interactive, utilizing AI tools to enhance learning experiences. A key challenge is ensuring the content can be accessed offline or with minimal internet connectivity, addressing the limited digital infrastructure in the region.
