This 2024-25 academic year we have students from the  Interaction Design Program  at George Brown College's School of Design who are trained to help with tasks such as:   Creating wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to illustrate design ideas for web & mobile applications Designing user interface (UI) elements to provide interactive, informative, and engaging experiences Developing user personas, journey maps, information architecture, user flows, etc.  Conducting qualitative and quantitative research (surveys, interviews etc.) to inform and validate design decisions Performing usability tests to gain feedback and provide insights that help enhance user experiences --  George Brown College has state-of-the-art user testing facilities Creating 2D & 3D visuals for concept development of digital products, systems, and services Identifying and troubleshooting user experience (UX) problems (e.g., responsiveness, accessibility etc.)  Creating animated graphs or charts for walkthroughs of datasets for various digital visualization projects  Participating in design jams/sprints using knowledge of design tools such as card sorting, empathy maps, storyboarding etc.  3.5 or higher GPA students are eligible for an optional Field Placement (part-time for up to 120 hours) to gain industry experience within their respective field of study.

Learners in the Computer Systems Technology Program are highly skilled in a variety of IT disciplines, including network security, cloud computing, infrastructure virtualization, database administration, and systems development. They have hands-on experience with Cisco Networking, VMware virtualization, and cloud solutions, and can design, implement, and manage secure, scalable computing systems. With real-world project experience, these learners are prepared to analyze, develop, and deliver IT solutions that meet complex organizational needs. Companies that work with our learners will receive tailored IT solutions aligned with their business needs, whether it involves designing network infrastructures, developing secure systems, or optimizing cloud environments. Learners will collaborate with companies to deliver well-researched, practical solutions based on industry best practices, providing value through technical innovation and problem-solving. C ompanies can expect high-quality deliverables, clear communication, and professionalism throughout the project lifecycle. Learner Capabilities: Designing and implementing secure network architectures, including VPNs, firewalls, and VoIP systems. Developing cloud-based solutions using virtualization technologies, ensuring scalable and secure deployments. Administering servers, including mail server configurations and security protocols. Managing database systems with a focus on optimization, maintenance, and scalability. Analyzing system requirements to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and network issues. Collaborating effectively in teams to manage project timelines, resources, and goals.

This is a Paid Internship / Co-Op. Employers interested in applying should provide compensation for the student - minimum $17.20/h per student (not financed by Level Up!). George Brown College invites employers to collaborate with postgraduate learners from the Blockchain Development Program. This program equips learners with advanced skills in blockchain technology, including smart contract development, decentralized application design, and blockchain architecture. Learners are eager to apply their knowledge to real-world projects under the guidance of industry experts. Employers are expected to engage regularly with learners, provide project guidance, share necessary information, attend virtual presentations, and offer constructive feedback via the Riipen platform.
