Project Management - Winter 2025

During their final semester project management graduate student teams are assigned a cumulative total of 600 hours to work on a project to either develop a Project Management Plan, conduct research etc., for a project of your choice. Using Project Management Theory guided by PMI standards, students will determine the breakdown of work of a future project for your organization, including project requirements, risks, costs, timelines, and responsibilities to drive the implementation process.
Empowering Social Service Practice with Durham College

Learners will require weekly supervision by the industry partner. Durham College’s Social Service Worker program offers a unique opportunity for first-year learners to integrate theoretical knowledge with real-world application through field placement. The course comprises 96 hours of direct client service alongside a seminar focused on reflective practice. Students aim to enhance their skills in recognizing diverse needs, building client relationships, and adhering to professional standards, all while developing strategies for personal and professional growth.
Creative Motion Graphics and Video Editing
This experience is designed for video production students in their final semester, who have honed their skills over three years in After Effects, motion graphic design, and video editing. These learners are equipped to apply their creative and technical expertise to real-world projects, transforming concepts into engaging visual narratives. By collaborating with industry professionals, students can bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application, enhancing their portfolios with industry-relevant work.
