This experience is designed for learners equipped with a solid foundation in economic principles, focusing on microeconomic analysis and strategic decision-making. Participants will apply their understanding of market behavior, firm strategy, and government policy to real-world business challenges. By engaging with projects that require economic analysis and strategic planning, learners will enhance their ability to evaluate market structures, assess government policy impacts, and interpret macroeconomic trends. This practical application will prepare them to tackle industry-specific issues, such as pricing strategies, market entry, and sustainability initiatives. Please note that this course runs asynchronously, with recorded sessions and no in-person classes. Students will be expected to apply the processes they’ve learned independently throughout the course.

Learners will gain insights into the complexities of energy markets, focusing on the interplay between economic principles and environmental policies. By applying their knowledge of energy demand, supply, and market design, learners will be equipped to tackle real-world challenges faced by the energy industry. The experience emphasizes strategic analysis and decision-making, preparing learners to contribute to projects that address energy security, sustainability, and affordability. Our students work with data and perform data analysis, they also discuss and strategize policy for energy industries and markets. Students apply concepts from economics within performance operation within energy industry.

Our 4th year nursing students take their senior nursing leadership course in either their last or second last term before graduation. The leaders, who we call mentors, that work with our students can expect our students to come to your organization with: a solid knowledge in nursing and healthcare strong critical thinking and analytical skills introductory statistics and research skills solid understand of the social determinants of health ability to support a diverse number of projects and initiatives If there are specific learner capabilities required, such as speaking a particularly language, or skills with video editing, this is something that we can try and accommodate.

Student Projects How we can help In this project, a team of students will help your company understand and solve a UX/UI design problem over a seven week period. Students will work as a team to apply their skills as the "capstone project" in their certificate program. User Expe­ri­ence (UX) Design and User Inter­face (UI) Design are the two sides of user-cen­tred design, an emer­gent field that has seen rapid growth over the past few years. UX explores what it means to be user-cen­tred, while UI oth­er exam­ines how users inter­act with­in a space. Both require skills in design think­ing, research, and work­ing with diverse teams and stakeholders. Program Background Our UX/UI Certificate Program teaches how to approach problems from a user-centred perspective, and how to conduct user research to best guide the design process. This program is online and teaches participants the foundations ofboth UX and UI design.
