What is the main goal for this project?

Digital Human Library (dHL) brings people together in service of youth and learning.

Digital Human Library (dHL) is looking for a bilingual individual or class to collaborate with our team to complete Phase 1 of our Project.


PHASE 1: Validate dHL's existing library of virtual tours and virtual reality experiences to ensure it is safe and relevant for K-12 students for the 2023-2024 academic year. Add new curated tours to the dHL database.


PHASE 2 (POSTED AS A SEPARATE PROJECT): Research new virtual tours and virtual reality experiences based on the criteria provided to grow our library and create new learning opportunities for K-12 students.

What tasks will students need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Project Tasks:


1) PHASE 1: Review and validate 1600+ educational virtual tours and virtual reality experiences in our Virtual Tours and Virtual Reality library to ensure they are still safe and relevant for students.

  • Update our database by locating and replacing broken links, outdated titles, and/or tour descriptions
  • Remove tours that are no longer available
  • Add new tours to the database (provided in Sheets)
  • Work within MySQL/ PHP
