To review our jobs pages, adverts and recruitment methods on the external website as well as external best practice to make recommendations to attract, recruit and retain applicants under 30.

Deliverables

Key aims/objectives:

1. Conduct competitor research into what other businesses and industries do to communicate their employment opportunities to attract applicants under 30. Please do not only focus on graduate schemes although this can be one of the recommendations.

2. Review current academic and grey literature on recruitment and employment to identify factors likely to appeal to applicants under 30 as well as factors that may be barriers to this group.

3. Looking at the jobs pages of our website, a range of our vacancies and our current social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook), what elements may be acting as attraction factors or as barriers and what recommendations would you make to improve their appeal to applicants under 30 based on your findings from 1) and 2)?

4. Please consider potential costs of the recommendations and value for money as local government activity is provided through public sector funding

Mentorship

We will provide brief and support in project opening and mid-project meetings.
