Details

TandemTeach is a real-time synchronized learning platform designed to provide equity among learners of various geographical distances. It combines the availability of facilitator-led training with the flexibility of self-paced learning for seamless, engaging classroom experiences.

This platform allows students to complete an online certification course alongside their teacher and peers. While the theoretical content is delivered online, the collaborative setting provides opportunities for practical activities. Students can actively engage in discussions and hands-on learning as they would in an in-person class, while receiving official certification from the governing body.

Deliverables

The expected project outcomes and deliverables for the core platform include:

  • A basic sync engine core platform (Instructor → Student screens) where students can follow instructor navigation in real time (slides, text, or simple HTML pages).
  • Instructor & Student Interfaces (basic layouts)
  • Navigation buttons for the instructor: lock/unlock toggle.
  • Student synced content area + status indicator.
  • Mode Switching -- Instructor vs Student -- instructor can release control for exercises, then resume sync.
  • Content Upload (basic)
  • Pause/Regroup Function
  • Ability to freeze all student screens until ready to continue
