project planning data analysis program & policy development health & safety assessments researchThe Workplace and Wellness Health Promotion program, facilitated by Centennial College's School of Community and Health Studies, is one of the first graduate certificate programs of its kind in Canada. As such, it enjoys a respected national and international reputation and is recognized by leading employers.
The Workplace and Wellness Health Promotion program will prepare students to promote the total well-being of individuals and groups within corporate and community contexts. If you have a health and wellness related project, bring on one or more students to be your virtual interns for 14 weeks to help.
Students are available for 420 hours of placement over 14 weeks, beginning January 2021.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, student placements will only occur virtually. This is a for-credit experience.
Students
Deliverables will vary depending on the scope of the project and will be confirmed by educator, student, and partnering organization prior to approval. Students must complete 420 hours by April 2022.

Project Examples
Requirements
Students from Centennial College will connect with your organization over the duration of the placement period with the purpose of performing a Health and Wellness related project or primary research project. The scope and nature of the project can vary widely. We suggest providing a starting project, but as the placement goes on there may be other duties or projects the student is asked to complete.
Project examples include but are not limited to:
- Investigate health and wellness sales and marketing (such as social media and email) strategies for key organizational stakeholders
- Plan, implement and evaluate a wide variety of programs, such as corporate wellness initiatives
- Apply research design and methods to workplace wellness and health promotion projects
- Share best practices regarding data analytics in terms of visualizations, concepts, and privacy
- Organize information by the use of consulting tools like operating plans, logic models, and the business case itself
- Develop health education for communities
- Discuss key goals and practice principles associated with health policy
- Design and execute an effective survey
